ICU provides intensive monitoring and advanced life support for critically ill patients who need constant medical attention. General wards are for stable patients who require less intensive care. ICU has specialized equipment and a higher nurse-to-patient ratio.
Yes, we have designated visiting hours for ICU patients. However, visits may be restricted based on the patient's condition and infection control protocols. We encourage families to stay in touch through regular updates from our medical team.
Conditions requiring ICU admission include severe infections, respiratory failure, cardiac emergencies, major surgeries, trauma, organ failure, and any life-threatening condition requiring continuous monitoring and advanced life support.
ICU stay duration varies depending on the severity of illness and response to treatment. It can range from a few days to several weeks. Our medical team continuously evaluates each patient and transfers them to general wards when stable.
Our ICU is equipped with advanced ventilators, hemodynamic monitors, dialysis machines, ECMO support, infusion pumps, and continuous monitoring systems. We have all necessary equipment for comprehensive critical care.
